Zildjian is a cymbal manufacturer company founded in Istanbul, by Armenian Avedis in 1623, in the Ottoman Empire. Zildjian is one of the oldest cymbal manufacturing company around today. Zildjian sells cymbals, drumsticks, and cymbal bags. The first Zildjian cymbals were created by an alchemist who wanted to transform base metal into gold. The cymbal lines Zildjian offers are Planet Z, ZBT, ZHT, ZXT, A series, A custom, K series, K custom, FX/Oriental, Z3, Armand Zildjian, K custom hybrid, Z Zildjian, Z custom, Avedis platinum, and K custom constantinople.
