The mace is a type of blunt weapon, that is similar to a club, and a virge. The heavy end of the mace mace is used to make powerful blows. The mace usually has a wood, or metal shaft, with a head made of steel, iron, bronze, copper, or stone. A mace head is usually shaped with knobs, or flanges, to penetrate armor. Maces are usually two to three feet long. And some maces are even for two-handed use.
