Tama Drums

Tama was founded in Japan in 1974 by Hoshino Gakki. Tama's research, development, and production is done in Seto, Japan. Tama's more affordable drums and hardware are made in Guangzhou, China. Hoshino has several offices around the world. Current drum lines made by Tama are Swingstar, Imperialstar, Silverstar, Silverstar Custom, Superstar Hyper-Drive, Starclassic B/B, Starclassic Maple, Starclassic Bubinga/Bubinga Elite, Starclassic Omni-Tune, and Starclassic Warlord Exotix Spartan. Discontinued series are Fibrestar, General Catalog, Royalstar, Beatstar, Granstar, Starworks, Rockstar, Artstar, Stagestar, Artstar ll, Crestar, and Techstar.
