Lathe
A lathe is a machine tool that rotates its workpiece on an axis, to do cutting, sanding, knurling, drilling, or deformation. Lathes are used in wood turning, metalworking, metal spinning, parts/reclamation, glass working, and thermal spraying. Lathes are first were most common for making pottery.
