How to cut Hardie Board

There are five different ways to cut hardie board, with hardie shears, a circular saw, a jig saw, a utility knife, and a 4in angle grinder with a diamond blade. Hardie shears cut easily, and make a dustless cut, will the edges if you get to close, but are very expensive. Secondly, you can use a circular saw, but it will create a lot of dust, but if you get the blade the is specifically for cutting Hardie Board you will not have as much dust. Third, you can use a jig saw, the jig saw is good if you need to make circular cuts, but the Hardie Board will tear up the blade fairly easy. A utility knife is the cheapest method to cut Hardie Board, but your cuts will need to be straight for the cut to be effective. The 4in angle grinder with a diamond blade is best for cutting around doors, windows, or cutting trim.
