When did the Boston Bruins join the NHL?

The Boston Bruins joined the NHL in 1924.  The Boston Bruins are in the Northeast Division of the Eastern Conference of the National Hockey League.  The Boston Bruins were the first United States-based expansion franchise.  The Boston Bruins are part of the original six teams with the Detroit Red Wings, the Montreal Canadiens, the Toronto Maple Leafs, the New York Rangers, and the Chicago Blackhawks.
